At the EBB’s Hygiene Bank, we believe that feeling clean should not be a luxury or a privilege for anyone in our society, yet there are many who live in poverty and cannot afford to remain clean. The injustice that people may be unable to fully participate in society due to a lack of hygiene supplies drives our passion. We work to inspire social change for this reason.

 

MORE ABOUT THE HYGIENE BANK

Those who are not financially stable or who are in a state of crisis frequently have limited options. This forces them to choose between heating their home, paying rent, purchasing food, and maintaining their personal hygiene. Lack of hygiene can be stigmatising, humiliating, and isolating, resulting in social isolation.

It can result in a lack of confidence and have a negative impact on physical and mental health, which can have an effect on early childhood development, learning, employability, and social interaction.

Products are donated, collected, sorted, and distributed to our network of community partners, which consists of a variety of organisations, charities, and schools that assist those of us who have fallen into poverty.

 

Supporting EBB’s Hygiene Bank is a straightforward way to assist not only a single organisation, but also multiple grassroots initiatives in the United Kingdom addressing a wide range of issues, including poverty, domestic abuse, and disability.

We collect personal care and cleaning products that are new, unused, and within their expiration dates, including deodorant, shower gel, shampoo, makeup, diapers, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and surface cleaner. If you need and utilise something, it is likely that someone else does as well.
